Who Cares?
David Perdue caved after Kelly Loeffler caved. They both came out in favor of $2,000 relief checks. They are 2 of the 10 richest Republicans in the US Senate and they’re both from Georgia. Loeffler is the richest. Perdue comes in at #8. Senator Josh Hawley from Missouri isn’t on the top 10 list but he thinks like a filthy rich Republican. He was originally opposed to stimulus checks because he didn’t think that Americans having to stand in bread lines qualified as an emergency, now all of a sudden he “cares.” $2,000 checks for everybody! Republicans care! Republicans care!
Mitch McConnell blocked the Senate from voting on the $2,000 stimulus checks that the House had passed. Over 600 billionaires made 1 trillion this year and Mitch the Bitch is saying no to a lousy $2,000 that won’t dig anybody out of the hole that he and Trump created, but it’ll pay for the winter utility bill and food. ONE man said no to a little relief. Mitch McConnell is #5 on the richest Republican senators list. Republicans could care less.
Ron Johnson isn’t in favor of giving people their money back because he cares about “the children.” He doesn’t want the next generation to have more debt. They already have $3.1 trillion in debt because of Republicans but whatever. Ron Johnson is the fourth richest Republican in the Senate. His kids and grand kids will be just fine.
The Proud Boys’ hang out in DC, the 106 year old Hotel Harrington, will be closed January 4–6 because they don’t want to host a bunch of white nationalists looking for trouble when they descend on the US capitol to stand back and stand by while Congress certifies the electoral college.
Trump and Pence completely botched the roll out of the coronavirus vaccine. They weren’t even present. While they golfed and skied, states have been left to fend for themselves to manage immunizing front line workers and greedy Republicans jumping the line without any federal resources or guidance. It’s been a slow and rocky start, just like everything else in the Trump administration because Trump does not care.
Mike Pence promised that Operation Warp Speed would vaccinate 20 million by the end of December. Only 2.1 have been vaccinated — that’s a little over 10% and many of them don’t even deserve it, like Mike Pence and all of the Republicans who jumped the line.
If we had universal health care and competent leadership in the White House, the rollout would be streamlined and we wouldn’t have to rely on Walgreens and CVS to save us in another 9 months, if we live that long.
100,000 people are predicted to die next month because people have been so reckless during Christmas. The vaccine isn’t going to stop people from dying in January. Hospitals are overflowing throughout the country right now because people were reckless during Thanksgiving. They don’t care.
Los Angeles County is in crisis. Hospitals are overwhelmed and are having to turn ambulances away. They are running out of oxygen. 1 person dies every 10 minutes. Cases have increased 1000% since November. Conference rooms, cafeterias, chapels and gift shops have been turned into hospital rooms and still people refuse to stay home, social distance and wear masks. They don’t care.
North Dakota has hit another milestone: 1 out of every 600 residents is dead. 762,000 people live in North Dakota. By comparison, the Los Angeles Unified School District has 600,000 students in 1,000 schools. North Dakota’s death ratio is akin to 1 child dying in every elementary school, 3 kids in every middle school, and 5 kids in every high school in LA public schools.
The UK strain of the coronavirus, which is way more contagious, is in Colorado now.
Luke Letlow, the newly elected Republican congressman from Louisiana died of the coronavirus last night. He was 41. He tested positive on December 18, was admitted on the 19th and then died 10 days later.
In 2 days, 3 million people will be dead — the most ever. 2020 will be the deadliest year in American history and people don’t care.
Biden’s #1 priority on day 1 of his presidency is to tackle the pandemic. He’s going to ask a lot of everybody to get this thing under control. That’s not going to impact the people who have been staying home since March. He’s really talking to the selfish pricks who are responsible for so much sickness and death but he won’t call them selfish pricks. Joe Biden probably wouldn’t even think it because he actually cares about people who don’t care which is what we need right now in a president. The horrible irony is they won’t care that he cares.
