The Select Committee subpoenaed the Secret Service. They want to ask them questions about the texts they deleted. This is the committee’s first subpoena of an executive branch agency.
Trump’s super PAC has been paying for the lawyers of people who have been deposed by the Select Committee so he can get info the committee has on him. His lawyers report back to him to help him build his defense. After Cassidy Hutchinson fired Trump’s lawyer and got herself a real lawyer, she decided to testify publicly.
The Fulton County DA in Georgia has sent top Republicans in the state who were involved in certifying fraudulent electors target letters letting them know they could be indicted soon. The letters give future defendants an opportunity to get proper legal representation and time to decide to cooperate if so inclined. State Senator Burt Jones (Governor Brian Kemp’s running mate for lieutenant governor,) chair of the Georgia Republican Party David Shafer, and state Senator Brandon Beach all got target letters. Who else could be in on this? Congress members Jody Hice and Marjorie Taylor Greene were both at the White House meeting on December 21 with other members of congress to talk about John Eastman’s plan to throw the election back to the states and Barry Loudermilk gave a tour before the attack. Did they try and help get ballots thrown out in Georgia, too?
Trump’s former National Security Advisor John Bolton admitted on CNN that he has helped governments organize coups “but not here.”
Indiana’s attorney general sent a letter to the governor suggesting he will criminally prosecute the doctor who helped get the 10 year old rape victim an abortion on grounds of failing to make a termination of pregnancy report. Fox News showed a photo with the name of the doctor, suggesting she be arrested. The doctor has given interviews on other networks but Fox wouldn’t want their audience to hear her make the case for abortions being a necessary medical procedure for child rape victims. They opted to just put up a Wanted Poster instead, essentially putting a hit out on her by giving their viewers somebody to hate and blame after pumping them up with abortion rhetoric for 20 years.
Republican Senator James Lankford of Oklahoma blocked an attempt by Democrats to ban states from outlawing women traveling to another state to get an abortion. Lankford is on record for saying a 13 year old girl can consent to sex.
Don’t be shocked that powerful white men are forcing children to have children. They made orphans out of migrant children and forced them to live like abandoned dogs in cages in a shelter and sent toddlers to immigration hearings on their own.
Speaking of powerful white men torturing children, after the Texas House committee investigating the Uvalde school shooting released its 77 page report on “the systemic failures and egregiously poor decision making” of the police and school officials, one of Texas’ members of Congress, Ronny Jackson posted a video of himself holding two of his guns saying he’ll “NEVER surrender my AR-15.” He dared anybody who wants to ban the weapon to “come and get it.”
The travelling “NRA Children’s Museum” made its first stop in Houston at Ted Cruz’s house. The mile long museum is made up of 52 school buses with 4,368 empty seats representing all of the children who were killed by guns in 2020. Inside the buses are mementos, photos, video and audio, and personal belongings of the children who were killed. The museum was created by artist Manuel Oliver, father of Joaquin Oliver, one of the teens who was shot and killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. He co-founded a gun control advocacy organization with his wife, Patricia called Change the Ref that creates large scale art installations to make the point that stricter gun laws will save children’s lives. Their goal is to take the travelling museum to all 50 states to show all 100 senators.
What world are we living in when a 10 year old girl can’t get an abortion in a red state but her 18 year old cousin can buy an AR-15 on every corner and women are still free to get an abortion but can’t buy an AR-15 in California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and the District of Columbia?
The right to carry a firearm over the right to not carry a pregnancy. Who giveth thou, these rights?
