The day after CNN’s Jim Acosta was threatened at a MAGA rally, he confronted Sarah Huckabee Sanders during the White House briefing and asked her to denounce the press being called the enemy of the people. She wouldn’t do it so he walked out. Jim Acosta is pissed and America is glad. It’s about time.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders won’t answer questions from reporters, cuts them off, insults them and then reads prepared rants about how awful they are.
Stephen Colbert invited Jim Acosta on his show next week. We need a good laugh because we can’t laugh at MAGA people anymore. They’re crazy and dangerous.
During a press conference on election security, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said, “‘Our democracy is in the crosshairs,” which is the opposite of what she said a short while ago when she said there was no proof that Russia hacked us. John Bolton was there for show. He needed to keep his eye on National Intelligence Director Dan Coats, FBI Director Christopher Wray and General Nakasone, who all did their best to reassure America that they’ve got things under control even though they don’t.
Hours after the special press conference with the nation’s top security officials and two Trump sycophants, Trump told his groupies that he had a great meeting with Putin, “Great meeting, got along really well. Now, we’re being hindered by the Russian hoax.”
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) has filed Hatch Act complaints against 10 Trump administration officials for using their official government Twitter accounts to campaign for Trump. The Hatch Act prohibits any executive branch employee from using their official authority or influence for the purpose of interfering with or affecting the result of an election. Mick Mulvaney and Sarah Huckabee Sanders are on the list. Nikki Haley, Dan Scavino Jr., and Kellyanne Conway just got warnings.
The Republicans keep flirting with Russia. They went there on the Fourth of July to kiss up to Putin and now they’re going to go back on August 6. It’s as if they’re not worried about the election in November.
Ann Coulter wants to know why Asians are getting special treatment. They weren’t enslaved or lynched or anything. Just because they’re not white doesn’t mean they should get affirmative action or special outreach. Um, the Chinese came here in the 19th century to build the railroads which sparked the industrial revolution and got worked to death. They couldn’t live among white people so they had to make their homes outside of town, hence “Chinatown.” The Chinese Massacre of 1871 resulted in 17 people hanged — the largest mass lynching in US history. After America got their railroads built, they closed off immigration to the Chinese with The Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882. In World War II, the government rounded up Japanese people and forced them to live in internment camps out in the middle of nowhere. Asians weren’t able to be citizens and vote until 1952, so yes, Ann, Asians were enslaved and lynched. You’d know that if you read books that you didn’t write yourself.

Republican hypocrite fun fact: Old man Senator Orrin Hatch said once that Trump could be one of the best presidents we ever had so that Trump would like him. Today he says he is tired of all the partisanship surrounding the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. “We didn’t treat their candidates for these positions the way they’re treating ours!” Listen up, old man…….the Republicans not only refused to confirm Obama’s pick for the Supreme Court, Merrick Garland, for over a year but they gloated about it.
At his MAGA rally in Pennsylvania Trump said NATO protects Europe, not us. We’re too far away. He admitted that Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity are telling him to shut down the government unless he gets his wall. “I have great respect for the U.K. United Kingdom. Great respect. People call it Britain. They call it Great Britain. They used to call it England, different parts.” When he pointed to the reporters in the back and called them horrible horrendous people, and fake, fake disgusting news, the crowd went crazy. The media needs to get the hell out of those MAGA rallies because 1) we’re sick of them being covered like breaking news and 2) they’re going to get killed in there.
Nobody is in charge. There is nobody steering the ship. We’re lost at sea and the whole world knows it. Our so called president is an incompetent maniac indebted to Putin. The media has been branded the enemy of the people. Russia is inside our government and infrastructure, and we’re not doing anything about it because nobody is in charge.
