The Trump era was good for one thing — forcing the reality of this not being new straight in our faces on a daily basis.

If Republicans had voted to remove Trump the first time, the insurrection would never have happened and 560,000 people would not have died. Their cowardice and complicity have contributed to the attack on our democracy and murder. First degree murder. They knew people were going to die and they let them. The enemy is within, for the first time in America’s history.
Trump was a lot of firsts including the first president to be impeached twice, the first president to murder his own people, and the first president to be impeached for trying to overthrow the United States government.
Democrats are hauling ass. They’re being very aggressive and sticking together because they know that this is it. This is their moment. The GOP has fallen apart and they can’t figure out how to get back up again, giving the Dems their chance to move America forward, full steam ahead as fast as they can, before the repugs regroup. Democrats are unified as a party, they’re not getting sucked into the Republicans’ bullshit, and they’re not apologizing for anything. That’s a first.
