Ginni Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, pressured Arizona lawmakers to throw out Biden’s win in 2020. She told them to create “a clean slate of electors,” according to emails obtained by The Washington Post. The media is treating this as if she bounced a couple of checks just like they did when the texts to Mark Meadows went public. She played a big role in the insurrection and seems untouchable because of who she is married to and the widespread corruption of the Republican party.
The nine justices on the Supreme Court are the only federal judges in America not bound by a formal judicial ethics code. There is no boss of the Supreme Court, no policy, no oversight, no rules, no transparency guidelines or laws to make Clarence Thomas recuse himself from deciding on cases about the attempted coup for which his wife was involved. Justices are all powerful, for life. They are regarded as saints who are more rational and trustworthy than the rest of us. Federal judges, on the other hand, must abide by ethics rules. They must remove themselves from cases involving a family member even if cases simply give the appearance of impropriety. Supreme Court justices get paid on the side for writing books and giving speeches, and accept comps like lodging and are treated like royalty. Since Trump, justices look like they can also accept bribes without consequence. We still don’t know who paid off all of Kavanaugh’s debts before his confirmation.
Trump appointed 3 justices to the Supreme Court and like everything else he has touched, the court has turned to shit. All 3 of them lied during their confirmation hearings. The court is headed in a direction to affirm a coup if the Republicans try again with smarter actors. January 6 was just practice.
The Supreme Court is now a Christian nationalist partisan institution, an unaccountable super legislature controlled by fanatic conservative evangelicals and Roman Catholics acting on behalf of the Republican Party, the Heritage Foundation, the Federalist Society, and the American oligarchy.
Neil Gorsuch is sitting in Merrick Garland’s seat. Brett Kavanaugh slipped into Anthony Kennedy’s seat after Trump asked him to retire, and Amy Coney Barrett has shit all over Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat. She is the antithesis of everything RBG accomplished and fought for.

Rudy Colludy, Trump’s corrupt fixer finally met with the Select Committee. They questioned him for 9 hours.
Four of Trump’s other corrupt fixers, Lindsey Graham, Jay Sekulow, Sean Hannity, and Larry Ellison participated in a phone call about overturning the election back in November 2020.
Trump dismantled and corrupted all of our institutions. The corruption that the Trump administration was involved in will take years, maybe decades to unravel, solve, and prosecute. Biden was handed the worst conditions in modern history. He can’t fix everything because Trump did permanent damage and the Republican party is a corrupt, diabolic power, and the courts are filled with radical right wingers.
People who are anxious about not seeing any big busts out of the DOJ need to remember 2 things: Merrick Garland was confirmed a little over a year ago and didn’t get to step into a functioning department. It had been corrupted and destroyed by Bill Barr. He had to rebuild it AND prosecute the biggest crime in history perpetrated on the country which could amount to thousands of cases. Even with ideal conditions this would take time. Once the Select Committee starts holding its public hearings and people like Ginni Thomas, Mark Meadows, Rudy Giuliani, Sean Hannity and Lindsey Graham start making headlines for having to face consequences for what they’ve done to the country, people will finally be able to relax a little bit. Being tense and fearful has become so normal that people don’t even realize how much stress they’re holding in their bodies. We’re used to it.
We won’t be able to trust the government until corrupt politicians and criminals start going to jail.
